Elon Musk’s social media network has a new addition: starting today, Twitter has a new cryptocurrency function that enables users to look up the price of Bitcoin by just putting the cryptocurrency’s name in the search box.

It is one of several “product upgrades” about the financial aspect of TWTR, claims Elon Musk. It appears that this new function improves upon “$Cashtags.”

But there’s more; through a link in the charts feature, the new feature also makes it easy to access the Robinhood trading platform. Although the relationship between Twitter and Robinhood was not made public, it appears that the two worked closely on this connection.

Twitter Has A New Search Feature

Given the massive traffic on Elon Musk‘s social platform, cooperation with it can only be advantageous for Robinhood. It is one of the social networks with the largest political and cultural influence, with over 300 million active users. Since it has a new owner, people have questioned whether cryptocurrencies will be accepted there due to Elon Musk. It’s unclear at this time what the entrepreneur envisions for TWTR’s cryptocurrency future.

Investors across the board are debating whether Musk’s foray into the Twitterverse is advantageous for the cryptocurrency ecosystem. The connection between blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and is still quite hazy, though. The most likely solution is to use crypto as a payment method and include NFT parts. Furthermore, there have long been reports that Twitter is developing its native currency dubbed “TWTR Coin,” which will be released and utilized as a means of payment on the network. Users are highly interested to learn what Elon Musk means by “Twitter2.0,” even though these are only speculations that have lately started to circulate and are not very clear.
