No matter what people think of her “polyamorous” relationship with Nick Cannon, Abby De La Rosa doesn’t give a damn.

The DJ, 31, said on Tuesday’s episode of the “Lovers and Friends” podcast that being in a polyamorous relationship doesn’t imply one has low self-esteem or self-worth. She said that she had become hypersensitive when people attacked her and her motherhood.

De La Rosa, who has a third child on the way and shares 1-year-old twins Zion and Zillion with the “Wild N’ Out” host, 41, says she hasn’t “even scraped the surface” of motherhood.

She went on to say that being open in her relationship does not change or take away from the type of mother she is to her children, the wholeness that she is to them, or the strength she shares with them.

The DJ expressed her hope that her kids will learn that it’s okay to go about things their way, even if other people don’t think it makes sense.

Despite referring to Cannon as her “main partner,” she said she intends to be in a committed relationship eventually.

Abby De La Rosa first said she was expecting baby No. 3 back in June, but she didn’t say who the father was then.

However, Cannon later appeared on a “Lip Service” podcast that same month and revealed he was the father, informing the presenter Angela Yee that a “stork” was on its way. The TV star earlier, this month purchased the DJ a new home to make way for their expanding family.

It may be understandable given that Abby De La Rosa called their relationship “open” and that Cannon has been steadily adding women to his family.

In addition, Cannon, who already has two children with Brittany Bell, is currently expecting a boy. August saw the couple’s news announcement shortly after Abby De La Rosa’s.
