Analyst Predicts ,300 iPhone Could Be Coming Soon Due to Tariffs

Following the recent announcement of substantial new tariffs on imports into the U.S., many consumers are left contemplating the potential financial repercussions on everyday items. Analysts predict that Apple’s latest flagship iPhone could see its price rise to as high as $2,300 for the premium models.

Initial predictions for iPhone price hikes due to tariffs are significant

As reported by Akash Sriram from Reuters:

The base iPhone 16 model made its debut in the U.S. with a starting price of $799, but it may rise to approximately $1,142, based on estimates from analysts at Rosenblatt Securities. They suggest a potential increase of 43% – assuming Apple can transfer that cost to consumers.

The more premium iPhone 16 Pro Max, featuring a 6.9-inch screen and 1 terabyte of storage, currently priced at $1599, might soar to nearly $2300 if consumers were to bear the 43% hike.

This assessment represents just one perspective on the potential repercussions, but I find the estimates intriguing nonetheless.

There’s a considerable difference between understanding the tariff rates and seeing projected increases in product pricing, especially for items like the iPhone.

While investors remain optimistic that Apple may receive exemptions for some products, considerable uncertainty persists.

In the event that exemptions do not materialize, has Apple accumulated sufficient inventory in the U.S. to avert short-term price increases?

Could we actually see a $2,300 price tag on the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the foreseeable future?

With the deadlines for the tariffs approaching rapidly, we should find out soon enough.
