Andy Cohen says he respects Ramona Singer’s decision to leave “Real Housewives of New York” after 12 seasons. The Bravo boss told Page Six on Wednesday that the decision was hers, even though Page Six exclusively reported last month that Singer was being demoted and taking a lesser role on the show due to waning interest in her antics.

As previously reported, sources say Singer’s co-stars were getting tired of her antics — including her refusal to go along with their plans for filming at various events this season.

Cohen added: “I actually have a long dinner with her tonight [Wednesday], so I have not had that discussion yet.” But he did say he was pleased with the work “RHONY” newbies Eboni K. Williams and Leah McSweeney did during their first seasons on the show. “I think Eboni made an incredible impact this season and I think she will be back next season,” he explained of the 37-year-old lawyer.”

Andy Cohen Takes A Strong Stand

The singer announced on Thursday that she will not return for the next season, which premieres in 2020.

Cohen, who produces the show and serves as its host, told reporters at NBCUniversal’s Upfronts presentation that he was sad to lose her but understood why she made the choice. She had been at odds with some of her costars over the past few months, most notably Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill.

The Bravo boss said the decision was hers, even though Page Six exclusively reported last month that Singer was being demoted and taking a lesser role on the show due to waning interest in her antics.

“It was all Ramona’s call,” Andy Cohen told us at a party for Amazon Prime Video after-party at Cipriani Downtown Monday night. “She decided she wanted to leave.” He also said he has no plans to replace her.

“There’s no replacing Ramona,” Andy Cohen said of his longtime co-host who began appearing on his show back in 2008 when it was called “Watch What Happens Live!” “We wish her well in whatever she does next.”
