Apple Introduces Service Program for M2 Mac Mini Power Problems

Apple has introduced a new Service Program today to address a “No Power Issue” that affects a limited number of M2 Mac mini users. Those impacted can have their Mac mini repaired at no cost.

According to Apple, this issue is present in a “very small percentage” of M2 Mac mini units produced between June and November 2024.

The company states:

Apple has identified that a very small percentage of Mac mini (2023) devices featuring the M2 chip may fail to power on. This affects units manufactured from June 16, 2024, to November 23, 2024.

This Service Program does not include any other Mac mini models. Users can check their Mac mini’s eligibility for the program by entering the serial number on Apple’s official website.

Those eligible for the Service Program have two options for getting their Mac mini serviced:

Apple notes that if your Mac mini has any damage that interferes with the repair process, that issue must be resolved first.

Apple frequently launches Service Programs to tackle specific hardware problems. For more information, visit Apple’s website.
