watchOS 26 is set to be the upcoming significant software update for the Apple Watch, and Apple has just rolled out the second developer beta for testing purposes.

watchOS 26 introduces a redesigned Workout app, Liquid Glass, Apple Notes, and more

This fall, Apple Watch users can look forward to a range of new features with watchOS 26, Apple’s latest major software update.

The Notes app will now be available on your wrist with watchOS 26, along with a new ‘Liquid Glass’ aesthetic, the AI-enhanced Workout Buddy, and a host of additional updates.

The first beta version of watchOS 26 was released two weeks ago, and beta 2 has just been launched.

Among Apple’s various software updates arriving this fall, watchOS 26 is relatively understated regarding new features.

Nevertheless, several incoming changes do affect the fundamental watchOS user experience.

For instance, the Workout app is not only adding Workout Buddy but has also undergone a complete design overhaul.

Furthermore, Liquid Glass is set to influence various UI elements throughout watchOS, though arguably to a lesser extent than on larger platforms like iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and macOS Tahoe.

We will keep you informed on any modifications and new features that appear in watchOS 26 beta 2.

If you haven’t installed the watchOS 26 beta yet, please note that it requires an iPhone running iOS 26. This means you won’t find watchOS 26 beta 2 in the Watch app on your iPhone until iOS 26 is installed.
