If you’re a fan of classic Sega games—or even just curious—you need to grab nine of them for your iPhone before they become unavailable…
CNET’s Zachary McAuliffe noticed a warning while downloading a few titles.
I downloaded Crazy Taxi and Streets of Rage, and after launching the games, I encountered a message indicating that support for these titles will soon be ending. However, it also reassures that you can enjoy them offline, even after support ceases.
All nine games are currently free to download from the App Store:
The announcement doesn’t specify an exact date for when they will be pulled, but previously, when Sega discontinued mobile versions, they vanished from the App Store. So act fast!
Ironically, the initiative that originally brought these games to iPhone was dubbed Sega Forever… which itself was discontinued in 2023.
