The Texas Rangers will make their 2024 home opening at Globe Life Field on Thursday night, their first Opening Day as World Series winners against the Chicago Cubs. The Texas Rangers’ 2023 postseason victory over the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series started a winning run for the team. When the Texas Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-1 in November, they shocked the baseball world once again.

Before Thursday’s game, team manager Bruce Bochy told reporters he had advised the players to relish their triumph. “Yeah, we got to get ready for the game, but this is a special time,” he said.

Fans Of The Texas Rangers Are Still Ecstatic Of Their Incredible Win

“Not only tonight but when they get their rings in the next game, too. Take it all in, since it’s rather challenging.”

Fans in North Texas are still ecstatic over the victory. Thursday afternoon, tailgaters proudly displayed the World Series Champion insignia on their hats, shirts, necklaces, and beer koozies as they gathered under tents outside Globe Life Field. A few reported arriving as early as 8 a.m. only to secure a place on the lawn. Laura Reta of Grapevine was tailgating for the Ranger’s home opener for the 15th year in a row, and it was her third year doing so with her parents. She described the World Series victory as strange as a lifetime fan. Reta stated, “There have been years when we haven’t had fantastic seasons.”
