Fans of Apple visiting the iconic Fifth Avenue location in New York experienced a surprise event this week: after a discussion on the popular Apple TV+ series *Severance*, CEO Tim Cook and actor Brad Pitt took to the stage to promote their upcoming film, *F1 The Movie*.
Their appearance followed an earlier discussion featuring the cast of *Severance*, moderated by Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner. Actors Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Dichen Lachman, and Jen Tullock discussed the series’ second season, which recently concluded following a lengthy break after its Emmy-winning debut.
Returning to F1
Pitt, who is featured in the racing film set to premiere in theaters and IMAX on June 27, greeted the audience alongside Cook, labeling *F1 The Movie* the “most visceral racing film ever created.” Cook used the opportunity to emphasize the significance of iPhone camera technology in capturing the film’s high-speed, in-car sequences.
The event concluded with a screening of the film’s latest trailer, offering those present a sneak peek at the action-packed, IMAX-focused visuals that Apple and Warner Bros. are counting on to attract moviegoers.
*F1 The Movie*, directed by Joseph Kosinski (known for *Top Gun: Maverick*) and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (famous for *Remember The Titans*) and Lewis Hamilton, tells the story of Brad Pitt as a seasoned Formula 1 driver making a striking comeback into the sport. The film was shot during real Grand Prix happenings to enhance the authenticity of the racing scenes.
As for *Severance*, both seasons are now available for streaming on Apple TV+, which continues to grow its critical acclaim and fanbase. Discussions are ongoing about two spinoff series, and Season 3 is also in production.
