Fleet, a device management provider, has successfully secured $27 million in Series B funding aimed at enhancing its open device management platform. Led by Ten Eleven Ventures, this funding round elevates Fleet’s total capital to $52.3 million. The company has experienced a sixfold increase in revenue over the last two years and intends to leverage this investment to promote its adoption among enterprises seeking adaptable deployment solutions.
Fleet’s offering provides businesses with the flexibility to either self-host or utilize Fleet’s cloud infrastructure. It stands out as one of the few device management solutions that permit clients to manage the application within their own cloud settings.
“Fleet is open source, and we designed everything to be open from the start,” stated Fleet’s CEO Mike McNeil. “Hosting options are essential to that philosophy. Fleet has consistently prioritized allowing users to host wherever they prefer. While we’ve introduced enterprise-grade managed hosting, many organizations favor it for its simplicity. However, we will always maintain customer choice.”
Fleet’s concept of open device management focuses on enhancing visibility, automation, and flexibility. IT and security teams can utilize Fleet to oversee and manage devices across Apple, Windows, and Linux ecosystems. Organizations such as Stripe, Uber, Fastly, Reddit, and Deloitte are already on board with Fleet.
“Fleet allowed us to migrate from our previous MDM provider before our contract renewal, preventing a forced transition to the cloud,” remarked Scott MacVicar, Head of Developer Infrastructure and Corporate Technology at Stripe.
As part of the Series B funding initiative, Scott Lundgren, Operating Partner at Ten Eleven Ventures and former CTO of Carbon Black, has joined Fleet’s board of directors. Additional contributors to this funding round include CRV, Open Core Ventures, GitLab co-founder Sid Sijbrandij, Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch, and others.
Fleet’s partner ecosystem includes CDW, Deel, and several more. The firm supports technical enablement and collaborative go-to-market strategies with its partners, stating that its development roadmap is informed by direct input from users and resellers alike.
