Albert Lincoln Roker Sr. Was an NYC bus driver. His son Al Roker now earned the place to pay tributes to all the bus drivers of NYC. According to him, his father was everything to him and his siblings. Now he has the opportunity to honor his late father and the legacy he left behind. He now works as a weather forecaster. He got emotional on air, Father’s Day is around the corner. He is paying tribute to all the bus drivers of NYC, including his father, who served there for two decades.

Al Roker Recalls Childhood Memories

On Today’s show, Al Roker sat with three bus operators from the metropolitan transportation authority. He mentioned how his father worked there for two long decades. He recalled how he felt proud when his father would tag him along. Those journeys with his father were adventurous. Al Roker used to boast about those experiences to his friends.

Senior Roker let Al Roker steer the bus after school. He taught him how to drive at the end of his duty hours. Al Roker is now 68 years old. And those days with his father were a sense of pride he felt. His father was proud and perhaps more proud that his son was witnessing a part of his life.

Roker paid honor to all the bus operators who are working in NYC. They always cared for the passengers’ safety. Dropping them at the correct stoppage on time. His dad used to drive in the 1950s and 60s. The buses back then lacked advanced technologies. Now buses are equipped with air conditioning and digital assets. Al Roker has become the father, and his father shaped him. He is a proud son now.
