Introducing Notion Mail: A New AI-Powered Email Client with a Mac App!

The Notion Mail has just been launched, introducing a fresh productivity tool developed by the Notion team, designed to enhance your email experience with AI while offering a sleek, organized interface.

Notion Mail expands the Notion productivity suite

The era of Notion being merely a notes application is behind us.

Having released Notion Calendar some time ago, the introduction of Notion Mail marks the arrival of their third productivity tool.

Notion describes it this way: “the inbox that sorts itself, drafts messages, and organizes meetings however you prefer.”

As expected, AI plays a crucial role in the Notion Mail experience.

For instance, David Pierce from The Verge mentions:

Among Notion Mail’s standout features is its AI-driven organization… When you access an email, a button appears above the thread inviting you to “auto label similar.” If you click on it, Notion’s AI searches through your inbox for other emails that are alike—not just in terms of sender or subject, but by genuinely assessing the email’s content and your interests. You can also prompt the app to create a label through a chatbot-like interaction. Regardless of the method, the app suggests label options, and you choose which ones should or shouldn’t be intertwined with the current thread. Subsequently, any new email that fits that classification is automatically labeled.

This feature sounds incredibly valuable, representing the kind of AI enhancement I would hope Apple could implement in future updates for Apple Mail.

Notion Mail has just launched and is presently available only on the web or via its Mac application. The team has indicated that an iOS version is “Coming soon.”

Currently, Notion supports only Gmail, but further compatibility is expected in the future.
