iPhone 16e Users Report Bluetooth Audio Problems

Two weeks have passed since the launch of the iPhone 16e, and early users are already sharing their experiences. Unfortunately, many are facing problems related to Bluetooth audio, primarily when using wireless headphones, according to a number of reports from iPhone 16e owners.

Concerns Arise Over Bluetooth Audio for iPhone 16e Users

According to MacRumors, numerous accounts on the Apple Support Community, Reddit, and X indicate that a significant issue is affecting Bluetooth audio on the iPhone 16e. Users are reporting that the audio playback via Bluetooth experiences intermittent cuts. Notably, these issues do not seem to affect other iPhone models when connected to the same Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

One user commented, “I just upgraded to the 16e from the 13 mini and any Bluetooth device keeps hitching. The sound pauses for a second then picks back up.” Another user shared, “I bought a 16e two days ago and was experiencing, I suppose, stuttering issues on Bluetooth? It’s brief, with the music stopping and then starting again very quickly.”

One affected customer returned their iPhone to Apple, receiving a replacement without question, but reported that the new unit exhibits the same issue. Apple has not yet acknowledged this problem or indicated whether a solution is in the works.

Besides the A18 chip and 48-megapixel camera, the iPhone 16e features a 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, and a USB-C port. It also boasts Apple’s first custom 5G modem, designed for improved energy efficiency.

The iPhone 16e begins at $599 for the 128GB variant. Alternatively, other iPhone models are available at reduced prices.
