Leaker Majin Bu has stated that Apple plans to change the placement of the Apple logo on the upcoming iPhone model. The last adjustment to the logo’s positioning occurred with the iPhone 11 series, where it remained centered since then. After six years, this could potentially change again—if the rumor proves to be accurate.
While Majin Bu has a mixed success rate when it comes to Apple rumors, they have provided accurate information in the past, including the ‘Desert Titanium’ name for the iPhone 16 Pro’s new color early on. Thus, this rumor merits attention, even if it seems unusual.
For the iPhone 17 Pro, it appears that Apple is considering moving the Apple logo to a position below the new rear camera bar, rather than keeping it centered on the device. The leaker suggests that this change aims to enhance visibility, and case manufacturers are reportedly testing designs around this new logo arrangement.
Interestingly, in a blog post, Majin Bu noted that case manufacturers are modifying the MagSafe ring design to accommodate the new Apple logo placement. An image was shared to illustrate what this adjustment might look like:
Honestly, I’m uncertain about the validity of this claim. While it could be logical given the single camera bar now at the top of the phone, it still feels quite strange.
That said, the leak regarding the centered logo for the iPhone 11 also emerged from case manufacturers designing around it, establishing some precedent. If this rumor is accurate, we will likely find out in the coming months.
