Microsoft Surface Laptop

Two new devices are being released by Microsoft- one the budget-friendly Microsoft Surface Laptop Go, and the Surface Pro X- the premium second-generation version of it.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go is quite an affordable option– one that is much less expensive than the Surface Laptop. It consists of a 12.4-inch display which has a resolution of 1536×1024, along with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It also comes with a touchscreen display. The Surface Laptop Go works on a 10th gen Intel Core i5- 1035G1 processor, with UHD graphics from Intel. The RAM is either 4 GB, or 8GB for LPDDR4X memory, and 64 GB eMMC, along with 128/256 GB of SSD. The laptop also brings to fold a webcam that is 720p f2.0, far-field dual microphones, and Dolby Audio processing speakers. You can choose from several different forms of USB ports- from 1x USB-C, 1x USB-A, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, headphones, Bluetooth, and other features.

The laptop’s lid is built using aluminum, while the base is constructed off a polycarbonate composite resin system with glass fiber, along with recycled content that is 30% post-consumer. The color range for the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go is Ice Blue, Platinum, and Sandstone. You will find the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go in Windows 10 Home S mode. The price has been set at $550- the base model with a RAM of 4 GB, and an eMMC of 64 GB. The price of the 8GB model is $700, while the price is set at $900 for the 8GB model.

The Microsoft Surface Pro X

On the other hand, the Surface Pro X is simply an update on the previous model, and is basically a Windows tab that is ARM-based. The touchscreen is 13-inches, with an aspect ratio of 3:2 and a resolution of 2880×1920. The entire system has been packaged into an extremely new design, something Microsoft claims is going to be the slimmest Surface Pro ever created. When we talk about its specifications, the first thing that comes to mind is the two custom chipsets which powers it. With the Surface Pro X, you get a choice between 8GB and 16GB of LPDDR4x memory. But as far as storage goes, you get choices between the 128, the 256, and the 512 GB of removable SSD memory. But don’t try to change the driver by yourself, for it is something that only a Microsoft technician can replace. Since the hardware is entirely ARM-based, you will be able to find it shipping the Windows 10 Home on ARM.

The front camera of Microsoft Surface Pro X is 5 MP that is fit for 1080p video, along with a separate camera that comes with Windows Hello face authentication. The back camera is 10MP which can record a 4k video. The device also contains far-field microphones that are dual, along with Dolby stereo speakers. The Surface Pro X comes at a price of $1500 for the 256 GB version.

Looking at the bigger picture here, the Microsoft Surface Laptop Go seems to be a dependable laptop at quite a cheap price range. With most companies overloading their laptops with features, and a hefty price tag- this comes like a breath of fresh air.
