Eggs:
As we close out 2024, the average price for a dozen grade-A eggs reached $4.15 in December.
Last month, we shared the average price of eggs across various cities. Now, the Consumer Price Index indicates that the average cost for a dozen grade-A eggs nationwide was $4.95 in January and $5.90 in February.
Sadly, the US Agriculture Department forecasts that egg prices could rise by over 40% this year, making it unlikely for me to bake my signature lemon cupcakes ever again.
