In his Main Stem debut, Casey Cott will assume the title role of Christian in “Moulin Rouge!” on Broadway. On August 1, Cott will join the cast in place of the recently revealed Courtney Reed in the role of Satine. He will continue working on the project until December 3.

Derek Klena, who will perform in his final show on July 30, will be replaced by Cott.

Casey Cott will make his Broadway debut after spending the entire seven-season run of Riverdale, the live-action CW adaptation of the Archie comics, which is anticipated to end after season seven.

Casey Cott will join a group that already includes Sophie Carmen-Jones as Nini, David Harris as The Duke of Monroth, André Ward as Toulouse-Lautrec, Eric Anderson as Harold Zidler, and Ricky Rojas as Santiago. The alternate for Satine is Oyoyo Joi.

Additionally featured in the cast are Ricardo Zayas, David Merino, Bahiyah Hibah, Heather Makalani, Nick Martinez, Kara Menendez, Kaitlin Mesh, Kelsey Orem, Jacqueline B. Arnold, Tasia Jungbauer, Maya Bowles, Sarah Bowden, Cameron Burke, Ral Contreras, Patrick Clanton, Alexander Gil Cruz, Taurean Everett, Bobby Daye, Aaron C.

Jim Carnahan and Stephen Kopel are in charge of casting.  Klena and Levesque are part of the current Moulin Rouge cast. The cast of the musical features Oyoyo Joi as the Satine Alternate in addition to Eric Anderson as Harold Zidler, André Ward as Toulouse-Lautrec, David Harris as The Duke of Monroth, Ricky Rojas as Santiago, and Sophie Carmen-Jones as Nini.
