Countless individuals rely on their iPhone alarms to wake them each morning, and many have adapted to the standard snooze time of 9 minutes. However, iOS 26 introduces the option to customize your snooze duration.
Custom Snooze Durations Available in iOS 26
For most iPhone users, Apple’s Clock app is the go-to for managing daily alarms.
While this has been the standard, it has lacked a key feature for years: the ability to set personalized snooze times.
At present, alarms are only able to be snoozed in 9-minute intervals.
Many have simply accepted this limitation, often setting multiple alarms to compensate for it.
But with iOS 26, Apple is finally granting users the flexibility they have long desired.
Now, every alarm you create can have its own unique snooze duration.
You can select any snooze time ranging from 1 minute to 15 minutes.
The default duration remains at 9 minutes, but you can easily modify it.
Additionally, you can customize the snooze length for each alarm.
Depending on the urgency of the alarm, you can adjust the snooze time to be either shorter or longer.
This may seem like a minor update, but it could significantly enhance the experience for users seeking more control over their snooze functionality.
iOS 26 is currently accessible in a developer beta, with a full release expected this fall.
