Dec. 13, 2019: Moonshiners Frontier Pursuit Available Now

In this Red Dead Online update, Rockstar announced the arrival of the brand new Moonshiners Frontier Pursuit.

This week, the Moonshiner Frontier Pursuit is available, allowing players to start up their own moonshine business, team up with a notorious distiller, obtain a new Shack property, and much more.

Moonshining requires players to have taken up the Trader Frontier Pursuit and achieved one of the following:
Trader Rank 5
Completed one Trader Sell Mission

Once those goals have been reached, the player will be contacted by Cripps to move forward with meeting Maggie Fike at Emerald Ranch.

Players will be able to purchase one of five Moonshining Shacks, which they will use to house their distillery.

Players will be able to purchase these additional, optional upgrades for their Moonshining Shack:
Bar
Band and Dancefloor
Moonshining equipment upgrades

Moonshiners will also gain access to new Story Missions, which can be played either solo or with your Posse. These Story Missions will team the player up with Maggie to expand their alcoholic empire and get a little revenge while they are at it.

Acquire new recipes, fight off rivals, build a customer base, experiment with different drink blends, and expand your distribution.

Moonshiners will unlock new clothing and accessories as they move through the progression system, as well as weapons like the Flammable Moonshine Jug, new design for the Sawed-Off Shotgun, new Horse Breeds, and more.

The Outlaw Pass No. 2 has also been announced. It is available from now until March 10, 2020, and will feature another 100 ranks of progression. All items unlocked during the run will be permanently unlocked for the player.

In this Red Dead Online update, Rockstar also announced the upcoming addition of the Moonshiners Frontier Pursuit.

On Dec. 13th, the latest Frontier Pursuit will come to Red Dead Online; the Moonshiner.

Players who take up this Specialist Role will attempt to make their fortune on the black market, starting up their own distillery and even opening a speakeasy.

The speakeasy can be decorated and customized with dance floor, country band, and more.

Any active Trader who has completed a sell mission, or who has reached Rank 5 in Trader progression, will be introduced to Maggie Fike by Cripps to begin.

Players will purchase a Moonshining Shack, which appears normal at the ground level, but has a hidden distillery in the basement.

In addition to operating the Moonshine business, players will be able to progress through a set of story missions with Maggie. These missions can be played solo or in co-op, and will task the player with helping Maggie exact revenge against those who have wronged her.

Players will be able to eliminate a rival moonshine business and obtain new moonshine recipes and techniques.

More details will be revealed later in the Dec. 13 update, which will include Moonshiner role unlocks, new clothing options, expanded Wardrobe outfit slots, a new Navy Revolver, and the Outlaw Pass #2.

Starting today, players can adopt one (or all) of three new Specialist Roles:
Bounty Hunter
Trader
Collector

These Frontier Pursuits will gain Role XP as players complete specific activities associated with them (hunting bounties, hunting beasts, and finding secret treasures).

Specific necessary items used to unlock each role can be purchased by all players for 15 Gold Bars, and can be obtained for free under the following circumstances:
Players who linked their Twitch Prime and Rockstar Games Social Club accounts by Sunday, Sept. 8 will receive the Bounty Hunter License free. Those who missed the deadline will see the License appear within 72 hours of linking accounts.
Players who found all 54 hidden playing cards in GTA Online can snag the Collector’s Bag for free through Oct. 14.
Players with an active PlayStation Plus subscription can get the Butcher’s Table (for Traders) through Oct. 14.

Rockstar has announced the addition of the new, free RDO membership program. Called the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club, players are automatically enrolled in the program by playing RDO between Sept. 10 and Nov. 18.

Participation in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club will award the following as they accumulate XP and Role XP:
New clothing
New accessories
Bonus cash
Free tonics and care packages
A special gun wrap
An emote
New graphic camp flag
Veteran Outfit
Goldwing Spurs
Etc.

Rockstar also announced the arrival of The Outlaw Pass, a new Rank-based progression system (70 Ranks total) which allows players to earn unique rewards.

Players who purchase The Outlaw Pass for 35 Gold Bars will unlock the ability to earn the following by ranking up during membership:
Exclusive Clothing
Weapon Styles
Campsite Adornments and Themes
Bonus Cash
Special Vouchers
Gold bonuses up to 35 Gold Bars
Death Ram Mask (horse adornment)
Larkin Gloves
Eagle Camp Flag
Leather Gauntlets
The Cordell Outfit
Etc.

Other updates in this patch include:
New items, weapons, clothing, and vehicles
Directional indicators when the player takes damage
New horse breeds
Change your appearance without resetting your progress
New custom outfit slots (and the ability to name slots)
New Role-specific Free Roam Events)
Looted Jewelry now sells for more cash
Increased movement and animation speed (including aiming, cocking, reloading, looting, etc.)

Rockstar announced more activities, including Legendary Bounties, weekly maps with special collectible sets, new bonuses, gifts, and more will be revealed in the weeks to come.

Rockstar also announced special bonuses for PlayStation Plus and Ultimate Edition players.

PlayStation 4 players with PS+ will obtain the following through Oct. 14:
Trader Camp Theme (unlocked at Trader Role Rank 5 and obtained from the Wilderness Outfitters store through Oct. 14)

In this Red Dead Online update, Rockstar announced the upcoming Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Club, the Outlaw Pass, and more.

Rockstar has announced the addition of the new, free RDO membership program. Called the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club, players are automatically enrolled in the program, which awards members as they accumulate XP and Role XP.

Participation in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Club will award the following:
Clothing
Accessories
Bonus Cash
Free Tonics
A Special Gun Wrap
Etc.

The Club Membership period lasts from Sept. 10 – Nov. 18, and rewards unlocked during this period will be available for players from this point forward.

Sept. 3, 2019: Red Dead Online Summer Update Announcement, Details

This week in Red Dead Online, Rockstar announced the upcoming Red Dead Online Summer Update, detailed the additions coming in the update, and more.

The Red Dead Online Summer Update arrives Sept. 10.

The update will add Frontier Pursuits, Specialist Roles, new avenues for progression, and more.

Rockstar also announced the following updates as part of the Summer Update:

Specialist Roles to be added in the Summer Update include:
Bounty Hunter

Collector

New Progression options will be associated with each of these roles.

No matter which Role you choose, you’ll gather Role XP as you complete activities associated with that Role. Complete a Bounty to earn Bounty Hunter Role XP, etc.

Each Role has 20 Ranks, broken down into tiers:
Novice (Ranks 1-5)
Promising (Ranks 6-10)
Established (Ranks 11-15)
Distinguished (Ranks 16-20)

Each Role will unlock certain exclusive skills and items as it increases in Rank, and unlocking new Role Ranks will award Role Tokens, which can be redeemed for special Role-specific abilities, upgrades, and more.

The Bounty Hunter

The Bounty Hunter can be unlocked by purchasing a Bounty Hunter License from the Legendary Bounty Hunter in Rhodes for 15 Gold Bars.

Players who link their Red Dead Redemption 2 Social Club accounts to Twitch Prime before Sept. 8 can obtain the Bounty Hunter License for free, beginning Sept. 10.

Bounty Hunters will pick up additional jobs at Bounty Boards in key locations, which will task them with taking down criminals. Bringing them in alive grants a bonus, and bounties will be split among if the Bounty Hunter is in a Posse.

Once the player has surpassed Rank 12, Bounty Hunters will be able to hunt other players in timed pursuit encounters.

The Trader

The Trader can be unlocked for 15 Gold Bars by purchasing the Butcher’s Table from Cripps.

Players who play Red Dead Online on PlayStation 4 can obtain the Butcher’s Table for free, beginning Sept. 10.

Traders will partner with Cripps and work together to make the Cripps Trading Company a success. Traders will hunt animals and complete Resupply Missions to gather materials, which can then be sent to Cripps, who will turn them into sellable items.

Once the merchandise has been created, Traders can send the items out for delivery to make a profit. The further away the delivery, the higher the payout, but the bigger the risks. Traders will also need to defend their camps from raids, manage transporting materials with specialized carts, and more.

Stew Pot (Camp Upgrade: Unlocks Stew Recipes to boost Cores)
Ingredients Satchel Upgrade (Holds more items)
Awareness (Identify enemy Trader wagons from further away)
Canine Warning (Notifies you when your camp is about to be raided)
Medium, Large Delivery Wagons (Hold more goods for transport)
Weapons Locker
Lance Knife
Efficiency (Gain more from perfect carcasses)
Materials Satchel Upgrade (Holds more items)
Hunting Wagon (Carry multiple carcasses, hides, and pelts)
Protection (Reduce the chance of camp raids)

The Collector

The Collector can be unlocked by purchasing the Collector’s Bag from traveling saleswoman, Madam Nazar, for 15 Gold Bars.

Players who collect all 54 hidden GTA Online playing cards can obtain the Collector’s Bag for free, beginning Sept. 10.

The Collector will travel the world to find Tarot cards, buried treasure, heirlooms, and other valuables, which are scattered across the West. Ranking up grants special enhanced treasure-hunting skills, tools, and more.
