Blockchain platform Solano Labs subsidiary, Solano Mobile has launched Saga, a flagship Android mobile phone that will enable easier non-fungible token (NFT) and crypto trading on smartphones.

Saga has come up with a 6.67-inch OLED display, 512 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM. It also has the latest flagship Gen 1 Mobile Platform, the Snapdragon 8+.

The news was welcomed by the crypto community as they compared the development to Ethereum and Apple. But there were also concerns expressed over the network outages experienced by Solano recently.

Internet entrepreneur Vinny Lingham was all praise for the move, calling it Web3.0’s ‘iPhone moment.’ He thanked Anatoly Yakovenko, the co-founder of Solano, for the success of the launch of Saga. David Ticzon also expressed his appreciation and called Solano the Apple of the Web3.

Netizens Compared Solano’s Launch Of Saga With The Relative Inactivity By Ethereum

Other members of the crypto community also compared the progress of Solano to Ethereum’s network. One user mentioned that while Ethereum has not been innovative over the years, Solano has been bold enough to launch its Web3.0 phone.

Pre-orders for Saga will be booked at a fully refundable deposit of $100 which will be deducted from the final cost, which is expected to be $1,000, according to a release by Solano.

The Saga has unique features and functionality and integrates well with the Solano blockchain. It makes it secure, and it is easier to transact on Web3.0 and also manage digital assets including NFTs and tokens.

Solano co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko pointed out that there are 7B people around the world using smartphones while around 100M people have digital assets. He said that both these numbers would continue to grow every day.

Solano is slowly emerging as a threat to Ethereum as its developers can grasp the shortcomings revealed by the latter. Solano is more rooted in reality and is better at product development.

But Solano has also faced the issue of a network outage, the fifth in a year, making the Ethereum blockchain more reliable. This is one area that Solano needs to work upon.
