Second Analyst Supports Claim That AirPods Pro 3 Won’t Be Released This Year

Initially, many anticipated the launch of AirPods Pro 3 for 2025, fueled by credible leaks and the understanding that an upgrade is overdue, as the AirPods Pro 2 will be three years old by the time this year’s iPhone is released.

However, last month, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that the new model would not debut until next year, a sentiment that has now been reportedly reaffirmed in a fresh timeline.

While DMN has not been able to independently confirm this timeline, a source from the Korean chip industry shared a screenshot allegedly from a report by Jeff Pu.

Jukan Choi tweeted a table suggesting that the HomePod will launch this year, but that AirPods Pro 3 is slated for 2026.

Mentions of AirPods Pro 3 have been discovered in the iOS 26 developer beta.

Once they are released, the new model is expected to feature a heart-rate monitor for the first time, which would allow the in-ear headphones to act as a substitute for the Apple Watch in gathering health metrics. This technology has already been introduced in the Powerbeats Pro 2. Enhanced active noise cancellation is also anticipated.
