Shaquille O’Neal is not backing down from his controversial flat-Earth theory, even as more celebrities tell him he’s wrong.

The retired NBA player doubled down on the theory during an interview with The Undefeated, telling them that Earth is “a circular plane.” He also added that he doesn’t believe in science at all: “I think people should be able to have their own thoughts and not be told what to think.”

On Friday, the former NBA star took to social media to post a meme with NBA stars Kyrie Irving and Wilson Chandler.

The trio, who have controversially supported the idea that the Earth is flat, are seen in the image sitting around a table. “Kyrie Irving vs everyone else” reads the caption on one side of their faces and “Wilson Chandler vs everyone else” on another.

Oneal also added his own comment: “I got your back my boy @wilsonchandler15 #flatearth”

Shaquille O’Neal Doubts The Spinning Of The Planet

Shaquille O’Neal added that he enjoys listening to theories: “It’s not about figuring them out, or he’s wrong or he’s right – it’s just a theory.”

Shaq says that he doesn’t believe in the “fakeness” of the earth, and has been trying to educate people with his flat-Earth theories.

It’s not clear what changed Shaquille O’Neal’s mind about the shape of our planet, but he seems to have decided that it might be time to consider something new. Maybe he began to cower at the lack of evidence for his beliefs and started rethinking his position; maybe NASA convinced him by sending a satellite into space so they could prove their point; or maybe Joe Rogan just convinced him during their podcast. Whatever happened, Shaq has now doubled down on his flat-Earth theory once again—and this time he really means it!
