A financial analyst has reported that due to the surge in Covid-19 infections, it seems inevitable that another stimulus check is on the cards. Also, with the CDC suggesting that every American citizen should definitely wear their masks in public irrespective of their status of vaccination, several more restrictions could come up- which would definitely harm the economy from recovering properly.

Back when non-essential businesses had to be shut down or scaled back to a more manageable level, the Government approved stimulus payments were a boon to those who had lost their jobs.

Delta Variant May Herald Newer Stimulus Check Payments

Now, if more restrictions are brought to the existing status of society, more unemployment claims would follow. The last week saw around 400,000 new claims being filed, with the week before that seeing almost 424,000 new claims. Maurie Backman reported that this was in quite a debilitating contrast from those weeks where the claims were coming in at a lesser rate.

If the number of jobless claims did continue to rise, it would definitely prompt the legislators to reconsider their position on providing more aid. In turn, a new stimulus check payment could be approved.

Currently, both Congress and the White House haven’t yet gotten behind sending out more stimulus check payments. They also haven’t debated about reconsidering the decision about the expiration of unemployment benefits- as they are going to expire in the first week of next month.

But, if this surge in outbreaks continues, the officials will definitely have to consider the continuation of expanded unemployment benefits for American citizens who haven’t been able to go back to work, or who have lost their jobs.

Stimulus check payments would also be a great way to assist people who remain employed but haven’t been able to gather the courage to step out in the wake of this infection.
