Binance Charity- which is the philanthropic arm of Binance- is all set to fund around 30,000 scholarships to those students who are quite keen on creating a career out of Web3 in 2023. The BCSP, or the Binance Charity Scholar Program, will be providing free education on Web3, as well as training courses that would enable tech-savvy students to improve their skills without having to worry about financial constraints.

This was explained by the philanthropic branch in a 20th January blog post. The blog stated that the charity was all about recognizing that skill development and digital education could be out of reach for many due to financial issues- which results in the blockchain industry lacking talent, as well as diversity.

This will be rectified by the Binance Scholar Program, which will cover the tuition costs, as well as the course fees, at some of the leading universities, colleges, and vocational training providers in the world. The blog post mentioned that there were around 82,000 applicants who had been interested in being a part of the next cohort of this Binance Charity initiative, which equates to an acceptance rate of around 37%.

Some of the education partners that will be getting involved with this project include the University of Western Australia, the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in Germany, and Utiva- a technology hub based in Nigeria.

Some of the other Binance Charity events will also be hosted at Simplon, a French-based tuition-free training center, Women in Tech, Kyiv IT cluster, as well as the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The branch also stated that it would be partnering with other Ukraine-based departments in order to retrain the citizens of the war-torn country.
