Stimulus Checks

While it has been made clear that the federal government is not going to issue any stimulus check payments in the coming year- there is still a lot of time for one to claim thousands of dollars for the rest of the year.

The IRS has already sent out close to nine million letters in the middle of October to those who haven’t been claiming their benefits which could range anywhere from a sum of $1,500 to a sum of $6,700. It is believed that the nine million people probably did not file their federal income tax return for the year 2021. Nevertheless, there are many people in this particular group that could still be eligible to receive the benefits.

One Could Receive Stimulus Check Payments Of Upto $6,700

The nine million people who did receive their letters from the IRS are the same people who were not really required to file their taxes due to them having a very low income. People who are also single taxpayers and under the age of 65 also did not have to file for a tax return if they earned a sum which was less than $12,550 annually.

The available stimulus check credits that one would claim before the year was over would include the Recovery Rebate Credit for 2021, the Earned Income Tax Credit, as well as the child tax credit. In 2021, several families did receive a sum of $3,600 per child, while the rest of the benefit was being sent through advanced payments. The rest of the population could have easily claimed on a tax return for 2021.

The recovery rebate credit was also the third round of the stimulus check payments which were issued during the pandemic. The third payment did provide a sum of $1,400 per eligible person, as well as qualifying children who did claim their tax return.
