Kendall Jenner Reacts To Kanye West Being Replaced At Coachella

Kendall Jenner reacted subtly to the news that The Weeknd would perform at Coachella in place of Kanye West, her former brother-in-law. Following the confirmation of the news by the 32-year-old singer of Blinding Lights on Instagram, the 26-year-old supermodel gave her reaction in the comments section with a high-five emoji, at times also referred to as the praying hand emoji.

The Grammy winner had posted a screenshot of the updated Coachella poster and his name in place of Ye. Earlier, Kanye West had dropped out of the California music festival on April 4, following his no-show at the 64the Grammys West was scheduled to headline the closing night of the three-day event on the 17th and 24th of April. Kendall Jenner had made an appearance at the Coachella music festival during its last few productions before it was sidelined in 2020 and 2021.

Kendall Jenner’s Reaction To Kanye West’s Exclusion Unexpected

But the reaction by Kendall Jenner targeting West was unexpected though she had every reason to be peeved at the continual attack by West on sister Kim, her boyfriend, and her family.

The appearance of the Famous rapper was in itself a replacement for Travis Scott, who was removed from the lineup following the concert tragedy at AstroWorld. West was confirmed as his replacement a month later.

Coachella fans initially expressed their reservations about West who had been in the news for all the wrong reasons for speaking ill of Kim Kardashian and her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson. They said that Coachella and other brands associated with it should be ashamed of giving him a platform. Maybe Kendall Jenner will now be watching from the sidelines with a smile.  Her subtle message to West was not lost on anyone, least of all the rapper.
