States Are Giving Out Stimulus Checks In 2023

Some jurisdictions are getting ready to give their residents Stimulus Checks to offset the impacts of inflation. The payments are meant to help Americans who are having a hard time keeping up with rising housing, transportation, and food costs.

Checks up to $1,050 should be distributed to millions of middle-class Californians by direct deposit or mail-in debit card. By the end of 2022, the state expected that 95% of the payments will have been made. However, some payments were planned to be distributed around January 15, 2023, meaning that some Californians would be getting a little more cash this month.

In Colorado, tax filers may get stimulus payments of up to $750 for single taxpayers and up to $1,500 for joint filers in 2022. Those stimulus payments have probably already been given to those who timely filed their 2021 taxes. However, a few folks are still waiting for their Colorado stimulus payment because they asked for a six-month delay in completing their taxes.

Idaho began mailing out its initial set of payments in March 2022. The state will distribute its second round of stimulus funds in September 2022. Depending on when the state’s tax office received the resident’s 2021 tax returns, the state may pay residents who meet the requirements $300 for single filers and $600 for joint filers.

In the tax agency of Idaho, direct deposit payments will take precedence over paper checks. As part of the stimulus plan, property tax refunds are being delivered to homes in New Jersey.

A $1,500 Stimulus Check is available for incomes up to $150,000, while a $1,000 rebate is available for incomes between $150,000 and $250,000. Renters are also eligible for a $450 reimbursement if their income is less than $150,000.
