Stimulus Check

Half a million workers in the state of Massachusetts will be in line to receive a stimulus check of $500 in the next few days. This was revealed by Governor Charlie Baker the previous week- when he stated that low-income essential employees would be among the first ones to be receiving the payments.

The payments will fall under the Essential Employee Premium Pay program. The program, as it has been known, has repeatedly called for payments between $500 and $2,000 to be sent out to the employees that were in service during the Covid pandemic- as reported by WKRC.

Stimulus Check Payment Of $500 In Massachusetts

In order to be eligible for the stimulus check sum of $500, one needs to be a resident of the state. More importantly, they need to prove that they resided in the state in 2020 and were also employed then. Eligibility for the very first round of the stimulus payments will then be determined based on the tax return information for 2020.

It has also been noted that claimants need to have an income of about $12,750. It must also place them below 300% of the poverty level set by the federal government. Americans that had previously collected their unemployment payments back in 2020 will be deemed ineligible for the $500 sum.

The Sun has also revealed that almost half a million citizens in the state of Delaware would also be receiving a stimulus check payment of $300. Officials have hoped that the taxpayers will be receiving the cash before the 30th of June. The payments will be expected to have a cost of around $186 million- along with a vote on the proposal which may take place in the General Assembly the next month.

The Governor of Delaware, John Carney, recently mentioned that he hopes that the direct payments will be providing some form of relief for the families in Delaware who are currently struggling to make ends meet.
