It has been announced that hundreds of residents have found themselves eligible for a stimulus check payment of $400 through a lottery system.
The Chelsea Eats program, which finds homes in Chelsea, Massachusetts, has forever been providing monthly payments to around 738 residents of the state. These payments will be helping out low-income families deal with the rising expenses which have become a part of everyday life- including utilities and groceries. The program has a funding of $800,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act, which is an economic stimulus bill of $1.9 trillion that was signed by President Joe Biden in 2021.
Stimulus Check Payments In The States Of Massachusetts and California
The stimulus check payments will be dependent on the size of the household. It has been reported that some households with one member will be receiving a stimulus check sum of $200, while households with two members will receive $300- and households with more than three members will receive a sum of $400. The payments will be distributed through a pre-loaded debit card- which one would have to pick up in person.
Just the previous month, the stimulus check payments had been issued on the 15th of March, and it is expected that the payments will go out on the same day this month as well. The next payment will be issued in May. The program further issued an application that had all of the income eligibility guidelines for this payment. Sacramento will also issue a similar payment of $500. The United Way California Capital Region has been working with the city to establish a guaranteed income program. The residents who have been deemed eligible will be able to apply online until the 15th of April- at 2.59 am.
