YouTube has recently been rolling out a brand new feature. This is going to allow the users to capture as well as share a few moments from the videos that live streams.

These short clippings of the YouTube videos can be of any length ranging from 5 seconds to almost 60 seconds. In addition to this, the short clip will also have a new URL that will be associated with them.

Short Clip & Live Stream Feature Of YouTube

YouTube has released an official statement regarding their new short clip feature. The company has informed that the clips will be offering an option of selecting a short segment of the entire video that be of 5-60 second in length. This segment can be shared with the other users on all the platforms by the content creator.

They have further stated that while watching the content in any one of the channels in this testing feature, the user can also view the clip icon below the video. This clip will act as a short preview of the entire content.

Users will also be able to embed, copy, and share the short clip through any social media platform including Twitter, Facebook, or Reddit. Users can also email the clip as well as adjust the length within the already set limit with the help of the slider. Thus, by dragging the slider, users can reset the length.

Youtube has also said that the short clip video can be played on loop with the original video. This feature is already available on Android and desktop. It will soon be made available to iOS users as well.

This feature is present in the alpha testing phase and can be used by a few selected creators. Additionally, this feature is similar to the one being offered by Twitch.
