Amber Heard has responded to ex-husband Johnny Depp’s TikTok message to his fans about “moving forward” following the verdict in his defamation trial against her.

Depp, 58, took to TikTok on Tuesday to thank his “loyal” fans after the jury sided mostly with him and awarded him $10.35 million in damages and Heard $2 million after a six-week trial.

His first post on the social media site was a video montage of his recent music tour with Jeff Beck, through his caption he showed his gratitude to his fans, for their most cherished, steadfast, and unwavering support. They’ve traveled everywhere and seen everything together. They have traveled the same path. They have been a part of his journey and it’s because of their support he was able to do the right thing. Now they are all ready to embark on a new journey. Depp currently has 4.6 million TikTok followers.

Is Amber Heard Going To Appeal The Verdict?

In a statement, a spokesperson for Heard, 36, responded to Depp’s message, saying, while Johnny Depp claims to be moving forward, women’s rights are regressing. The verdict’s message to domestic violence victims is… don’t be afraid to stand up and speak out.

Amber Heard, who intends to appeal the verdict in the defamation trial, said in a statement released after the verdict was revealed on Wednesday, that her disappointment is indescribable. She’s heartbroken that the mountain of evidence was insufficient to overcome her ex-disproportionate husband’s power, influence, and sway.

She’s even more disappointed by the implications of this decision for other women. It’s a setback… It reverts to a time when a woman who spoke up and out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It undermines the notion that violence against women should be taken seriously.

Many people on social media supported Johnny’s TikTok debut and questioned Amber Heard’s reaction to it. “Normal women don’t need to lie to feel important,” one Twitter user wrote. “They are already. Why don’t you #AmberHeard move on and improve yourself as a person?” “For someone who wants Johnny to leave her alone, she (Amber) sure is concerned about him moving forward with his life,” said another. She’s only upset because he’s now popular on TikTok.”
