Carrie Underwood And A Few Other Artists Would Be Performing At Covenant School Benefit Concert

Several country singers, including Carrie Underwood will be coming together to raise funds at the Covenant School Benefit concert which will be a tribute to the tragic Nashville school shooting that took place in March- and left six dead. On the 12th of April, several stars like Carrie Underwood, Thomas Rhett, Lady A, and others will be performing at the concert, called “A Night Of Joy”.

There will be other performers like Ben Rector, Chris Tomlin, Dave Barnes, Colony House, Drew Holcomb, Ketch Secor, Ellie Holcomb, Natalie Hemby, and Matt Maher. Other country artists like Stephanie and Nathan Chapman, Sixpence None The Richer, The War and Treaty, The Warren Brothers, Tyler Hubbard, Trent Dabbs, Brett Taylor with Luke Laird, Sarah Kroger, Dwan Hill, Sandra McCracken, and Jasmin Mullen will also perform at the event. 

Carrie Underwood Led Concert To Be Organized at Nashville School

All the proceeds from the benefit concert, featuring Carrie Underwood, and hosted by Annie F. Downs- the best-selling author- will also support the faculty, students, staff, and families of the Covenant School. In a press release, the author stated that she was extremely honored to be a part of this event- where she would be gathering up the stars in her city and then rallying around a community that was quite close to her heart. Hemby mentioned that Nashville was doing what it did best- using the talents and resources to support this community. 

According to the report published by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the shooter- a 28-year-old former student of the school, opened fire inside the elementary school on the 27th of March which resulted in the deaths of three adults and three children. The victims of the attack were Hallie Scruggs, 9, Evelyn Dieckhaus, 9, William Kinney, 9, Katherine Koonce, 60, Mike Hill, 61, and Cynthia Peak, 61.
