With Personalized Golf Club Headcovers, Chris Pratt Honors His On-Screen Personas

Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt plays golf and brings his work with him! The 44-year-old Parks and Recreation star hinted at the debut of his new movie, The Garfield Movie, on Instagram on Friday by posting a photo of his personalized golf club headcovers. The covers of the four golf clubs in the picture were all inspired by roles he has performed in movies. The faces of his characters Emmet Brickowski from The Lego Movie, Star-Lord/Peter Quill from The Guardians of the Galaxy, Mario—who he voiced in 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie—and Mr. P “The Pringles Guy” Pringles covered the clubs, going from left to right.

Chris Pratt said, “When Garfield drops, I’m gonna need to get a 9 wood,” as the caption for a picture of a golf ball and his bag of clubs.

Chris Pratt On Enjoying His Time With His Family Before The Garfield Movie

Chris Pratt has a few months to grant the request mentioned in the caption. The Garfield Movie is scheduled for release on May 24, according to an exclusive first look provided to the media in November 2023. The film will follow Garfield (voiced by Pratt) and his dog companion Odie as they depart from their lavishly manicured existence and go on “a hilarious, high-stakes heist” with Garfield’s long-lost father, the grungy street cat Vic.

Along with Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Brett Goldstein, Nicholas Hoult, Harvey Guillén, Cecily Strong, and Bowen Yang, Samuel L. Jackson also voices Vic in the film. Chris Pratt has recently been enjoying time spent with his family, including Katherine Schwarzenegger and their children. Lyla Maria, age three, and Eloise Christina, age eighteen months, are the couple’s kids. Pratt and his ex-girlfriend Anna Faris also have a kid named Jack. Pratt shared a cute video of the 34-year-old Schwarzenegger dancing to Usher’s Super Bowl performance earlier this month. He also paid homage to her on Valentine’s Day on Instagram.
