The music couple, David Foster and Katharine McPhee have now welcomed their child into the world. Sources confirm that the gender of the child is male. The 71-year-old husband already has five daughters before this. But it is his first with his wife Katharine, 36. It is also his first son.

The couple recently released a picture of the new momma holding and cradling her bump on Instagram earlier in the week. In the image, Katherine seems to be donning a pretty comfortable sundress and a facemask for COVID-19. She was also seen holding a cute, tiny little puppy in a pouch in a side-shoulder bag.

David Foster’s wife also stars in the latest, up-and-coming Netflix show, “Country Comfort.” The series, a sitcom, as reported, will launch ten episodes on the 19th of March this year. The sex of the baby was shared with the world on a podcast called Women On Top. She was also the former runner-up of the darling-show American Idol.

David Foster And McPhee Foster’s Relationship

David Foster and McPhee met way back in 2006. She was then another contestant on American Idol and only 21 years old. David was the mentor on the show when they met. But the couple only came together about 13 years after they met. They got married in 2019, in June.

The couple even spoke openly about their relationship in an interview with The Today Show. This was months after they tied the knot, in November 2019. David Foster openly said that his favorite trait of his wife was her magical singing voice. He said that “her singing” was first. But then answered by asking where he could “start.” He said he liked her “inner” and “outer” beauty. And added that they had been friends for about 14 years before.
