Halsey hears what her fans say! Fans have been talking about an unreleased solo version of her song “Die for Me” with Post Malone for years. Now, the 28-year-old singer has given fans the official track. “Die 4 Me” came out on Friday (Feb. 24), only a week after it was first talked about.

The Future-assisted song “Next Friday I have got a little surprise coming” hit No. 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 2019. Fans of Halsey already know that in their 2019 feature on Post Malone’s “Die for Me,” they took several shots at their ex-boyfriend G-Eazy. They seemed to accuse G-Eazy of cheating in their verse. “I went through your phone and called the girls in your direct messages,” they sang. They also said, “You brought strangers into our beds, and now you have no privacy.”

Halsey Releases Extended Version

Now, they have released the original version of “Die 4 Me” that she recorded, and it is safe to say that she does not hold back. In “Die 4 Me,” Halsey sings Post Malone’s famous chorus, a new first verse, and a new bridge. She also sings her now-famous “Die for Me” verse.

In the first verse, Halsey sings, “I hope you think of me every time you touch it. I hope your new girl hears it and loves it.” And I oop. But Halsey goes for it on the bridge. They add, “This is the last time, I will do you the honor/I gave you a headline, I know I shouldn’t/This is a lesson to learn, hold someone tight and they break/Then you say it was a mistake, but you meant it anyway.”
