Taylor Lautner has transformed from a teen heart-throb to a Hulk in the past 18 years. Ever since he starred in his break-out movie, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D in 2005, he has been a total hit.
Now close to a decade later he has found himself transformed into a hulk following his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight movies which started in 2008. Fans have lapped up every news of their idol. But they have been totally wrong on one count all these years. And it took Taylor Lautner to remind them of their error.
Taylor Lautner reminded fans that they had been getting his last name wrong all these years. At a stop earlier this week for The Unplanned Podcast with Matt & Abby, the 31-year-old Twilight star clarified that the correct pronunciation of his surname is “Lowt-ner.”
Taylor Lautner Said Mispronouncing His Name Not A Big Deal
Taylor Lautner reminded them that technically it should be pronounced as “Lowt-ner.” He said that it was his fault that he had not taken the initiative to clear how his name was pronounced in the first place.
And fans have been making the mistake for decades, right from the first decade of his stardom. He said that he had just not cleared up the issue of his name at interviews or photoshoots. He neither said about it in interviews nor called up anyone to inform them about what constitutes right.
Taylor Lautner said that he never considered his name being mispronounced as a big deal. He said he did not care if it was Laut-ner or Lowt-ner. To him, it was all the same, he clarified before his podcast hosts. He had startled fans in his TikTok video for E! News. While the video was about his feelings about his changed hairstyle, he also decided to clear up the pronunciation of his surname.
