With her appearance in the Beetlejuice sequel, Winona Ryder has been giving us a massive throwback to 1988. In a shot for the forthcoming Tim Burton picture, where she is anticipated to recreate her part of  Lydia Deet from the 1988 Beetlejuice, Ryder was seen on Thursday sitting in the passenger seat of a car wearing dark black hair and matching black attire. Additional images from the set, which were released by the press, show that the Edward Scissorhands actor, 51, used to film the sequences was rigged with a whole camera crew as the producers captured a scenario in which her character is being transported from the school.

Actors Including Winona Ryder Aka Lydia Prep For Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Sequel

According to the source, shooting for the new film started on Wednesday in London and continued on Thursday in Hertfordshire, which is located around UK’s capital.

The initial picture of Girl, Interrupted star Winona Ryder shooting the eagerly awaited sequel has surfaced recently, although narrative specifics for Beetlejuice 2 are still unknown. Burton’s sequel is set for release on 6th September 2024, nearly three decades after the first horror-comedy rocked theatres. In Beetlejuice, Winona Ryder co-starred with Alec Baldwin, Catherine O’Hara, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, Keaton, and Glenn Shadix. The film centers on a sinister ghost who aids a couple who has recently passed away in ejecting an intolerable family who had taken their home.

In March, several publications stated that Jenna Ortega from Wednesday is reported to play Lydia’s daughter in the upcoming sequel. It had been announced last Thursday that “Malena” actor Monica Bellucci has agreed to play the wife of Beetlejuice in the future movie, with Keaton likely to return in the title role.
