After a four-year marriage, Janet Schmeling, Drake Bell’s wife, has filed for divorce. She reportedly filed for dissolution earlier in the day, citing irreconcilable differences on Thursday.

According to the documents that the outlet was able to obtain, Drake Bell is requesting visitation privileges while Von Schmeling is asking for both legal and physical possession of their 2-year-old kid, Wyatt. Additionally, she asks for spousal support. According to sources, the pair split up in January after the “Drake & Josh” star was seen puffing in his vehicle as his little son sat in the back seat and they were parked outside a vape store in California. After this incident, she moved to Florida along with her kids since her marriage with Drake was becoming too much for her.

Drake Bell Struggling WIth Marriage, Life, And Sobriety

A source revealed at the time that the couple previously experienced some amazing gorgeous times and that they’ll be wonderful co-parents in the future, but Drake Bell needed to concentrate on staying healthy. It was further added that Bell was in a difficult situation but he is an amazing father when fit and sober.

Bell and Schmeling started dating in 2013 and got married in a small ceremony the following year. A source also informed us that he had started therapy after his troubles caused him to lose his relationship. However, Bell only started a manhunt a week ago after authorities declared him missing and “endangered.” He had been last seen the previous night and had been spotted with his son earlier that day at SeaWorld.

Authorities were able to get in touch with the 36-year-old actor just hours after seeking public help in finding him. They even “took action” to make sure he had a “mental health evaluation.”

Police had reasons to be concerned for his safety because based on a 911 call received, he contacted his relatives in California to tell them he planned to “get drunk and kill himself.”

They tracked his phone to a motel in Orlando to locate him.
