Who Wrote ‘Enola Holmes’?
The character of Enola Holmes has been derived from Nancy Springer’s retake on the classics of Arthur Conan Doyle. The six books in Nancy’s Sherlock-related crime fiction series include a different take on the legendary detective. It also weaves the story of Sherlock’s childhood, his back story and his little sister Enola Holmes in its plot. All the six books delve into Enola Holmes’ mysteries. It is like a parallel series to the Victorian author, Conan Doyle’s series. The original Sherlock Holmes books don’t mention anything about Enola and have a different angle of presenting Sherlock Holmes.

The movie is set in the 1880s and sets the narrative around proto-feminists and women’s rights campaigners. This book deals with the emotional side of Sherlock Holmes and was published in 1927. The recent lawsuit claims that this film is an infringement on the copyright of that book which will only become public after 95 years of the date of publication.
