Gwen Stefani claims to be ‘Japanese’ despite her being born into an Italian and Irish American Family. While this controversial statement is bringing up quite a hate, Kyle Richards defends Stefani all the way through. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Richards comments via her Instagram post on Wednesday that everyone gets offended by anything nowadays.
In a previous interview with Allure, Stefani mentioned her descendants with the Asians when questioned about the collection of Harajuku Lovers from 2004, referring to that as an instance of cultural appropriation.
The 53-year-old Singer says ‘I’m Japanese and I didn’t know about it’ to an Asian interviewer. Later on, in the same interview, she added that she is not only partly Asian but English too with a mixture of Orange County. A report of the singer came out to the publications where the Journalist claimed to have misunderstood but it was later declined to go on record for confirmation.
Kyle Richards Surprises No One After Her Racial Remarks Against Beauvais
Kyle Richards’s behavior did not appear to be a shock to many as she previously accused her co-star Garcelle Beauvais, a black woman, of not donating $5,000 to charity. Beauvais thinks this claim was thrown upon her for racial indifference and used as a weaponized statement for being black. She suggests that the actress might not have intentionally suggested it to be racial but some things go without saying. There are stereotypes amongst the industry that think they don’t tip or pay for their rent, says Beauvais.
Richard declines these claims saying ‘she would never’ have thought of something like that and apologizes to the former star as she might not have to cope with it but to some, it is their reality.
