Spoilers for Succession’s season 4, third episode are present in this article.

One massive Succession death has the Internet buzzing, and HBO took to great efforts to prevent the narrative twist from being revealed beforehand. One person even dressed up and attended his character’s scene of the funeral while filming a fictitious scenario.

Even though he was Logan Roy, Brian Cox admitted he attended Logan Roy’s burial. He said in one of his interviews that he did not exactly appear for the burial. Adding further that they planned to perform a phony scenario with him in the church on the day of his burial in order to confuse the crowd.

The one unnecessary thing, according to Cox, was to stage a sequence of Logan Roy’s appearance on Succession that will not exactly be on TV either. He said that he was ready to do that when the crew phoned him and said that he was not required on the set at the moment. However, he was already on his way so he went anyway, especially so that people do not get curious about whose funeral was being shot in Succession

It did in fact, save the show from getting its spoilers revealed before the debut of season 4 of the show Succession may be due to Cox’s appearance on the set.

The dramatic twist in Sunday night’s program has left the Roy family’s status and the corporation Waystar Royco’s administrative future in doubt. An alliance of siblings and ambitions to permanently remove their father was present at the start of the season. However, an untimely death in the last season was not expected by the audience or the siblings of the Roy family.
