Rachel Lindsay, a regular commentator on the “Bachelorette” show, has reactivated her Instagram account. The 35-year-old had once featured in the show as well. She had deactivated the account after an interview with Chris Harrison in February had incited widespread rage. In the interview, the two were discussing Rachael Kirkconnell.

Rachael had been called out for racial insensitivity earlier. Harrison, the host of the “Bachelor”, had remarked that people should wait for her statements before being so harsh on her. However, this was seen as complacency in regards to racism by critics.

The current season features the show’s first-ever black male lead, Matt James. However, Rachael, one of the contestants, has been spotted at a sorority party named “Old South” among other such events, implying her racial beliefs.

The Cause Of Rachel Lindsay’s Troubles

Harrison had later issued two apologies before deciding to stay away from the remainder of the current season. On this decision by the long-time host, Lindsay had faced an angry backlash as well. She was reported to have taken down her account the day after the interview.

Rachel Lindsay has said that she is now ready to move forward with her life. She has received immense support from fans and former contestants alike. She has reportedly listened to Harrison’s apology as well and has accepted it.

Since she came back, the executive producers of the show had tweeted an official statement supporting Rachel Lindsay. They also condemned any hatred that she received as completely undeserving.

Kirkconnell has also issued a statement on the matter calling for her own accountability on the matter. She pleaded for the humanity of the fans, and that no person should have to resort to such measures in face of such unjust toxicity and hatred.
