Tom Cruise was shown in a fighter jet flying high up above donning sunglasses in a tape thanking viewers and fans for the voted honor. He was traveling aboard the jet with his popcorn prize. He thanked the board and his audience for giving him the honor and said that whatever he created was all for them and that he cherished them. He further added that he loved amusing and entertaining his fans and hopes to continue doing so.

He continued by promoting his next action movie Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, which hits theatres on July 12. He described it as a wild experience.

Tom Cruise wished everyone a happy summer and appreciated his fans once again, for allowing him to entertain and continue to amuse, saying that it was an unquestionable honor. He further hoped to see us at the theatres for his forthcoming movie. The category that Tom Cruise won, included several other amazing actors such as Keke Palmer for Nope, Florence Pugh for DWD, Austin Butler for Elvis, and Michael Jordan for Creed III.

Top Gun: Maverick had the highest number of nominations this year going into the ceremony, while two TV shows had the maximum nominations for scripted television, each with six. Drew Barrymore, the host, abruptly quit her position in support of the current writers’ strike, forcing a change in the awards show’s original live format. While the show was airing, Barrymore, who had pledged to host it again in 2024, continued to make appearances in previously taped routines.
